How to cancel UPI AutoPay mandate

The #1 reason a subscription keeps charging after you “cancelled” it. Remove the mandate in the UPI app that created it.

  1. 1Google Pay: tap your profile photo → Autopay (or “Manage UPI AutoPay”) → select the merchant → Cancel / Deactivate.
  2. 2PhonePe: profile icon → AutoPay → select the mandate → Cancel autopay.
  3. 3Paytm: profile / Balance & History → UPI Automatic Payments → select → Cancel.
  4. 4BHIM: Mandate → My Mandates → select → Revoke.
  5. 5Bank app / net banking: look for “UPI Mandates” or “e-Mandate” → select → Cancel.
Note: Always cancel from the SAME app that set up the mandate. After cancelling, the merchant can no longer auto-debit — but you still owe anything already due.

App menus change often — if a step doesn't match exactly, look for Account / Profile → Subscription / Membership → Cancel or Manage, and always cancel the UPI/NACH/card mandate too. This is general guidance, not financial or legal advice.

Never get surprised by UPI AutoPay mandate again.
